Harcourt is the premier apple and cider centre of Victoria and also has a thriving cherry and wine industry.
Quiet country town that used to be on the main route from Melbourne to Bendigo and is now just a short diversion off the Calder Freeway.
There is a quirky local store, fuel station, Cidery’s, Winery’s and a very unique place called Woop Woop which while you will need to book is guaranteed to entertain. There is also the Goldfields Track Cafe which is open Thursday for coffee/lunch and Fri,Sat,Sun for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
City dwellers please note that this property is on the edge of a small quiet country town which is awesome for relaxing in comfort and getting closer to nature however there is NO WIFI provided ■the reception for all the main mobile providers is good■. The town of Harcourt has a wonderful character and it only has one store, one petrol station, a Post Office and a Motel. Its possible to easily walk to either of them however to access the other larger towns in the are such as Castlemaine or Bendigo you would be best to have a car. I recommend that you check a map online to get clear where Harcourt is in relation to these towns as we have had people low score the location and I would prefer that you are fully clear that this is a nice quiet country property before booking.
Large country block complete with 3 Alpaca’s and a pet sheep. Can accommodate Pets such as dogs as long as they are kept under control and pose no threat to the local livestock, if they are to be allowed inside they will need to be kept on the hard floors and not in the bedrooms especially not on the beds.
Children are welcome however please note this is a rural property and there is both adventure and possible risks for children so please check the full description of the property to make sure its suitable for your situation as there are animals on-site as well as a creek running through the property.

If you use fireplaces be aware there are no child protection screens that can be placed in front of them.
Creek running through property is not fenced and can have deep water and weeds/other plant material present.
Cleaning products in cupboard under sink in kitchen and on shelves in laundry.
Power sockets in living and bedroom areas ■note all protected by RCD’s at mains■
Alpaca’s are timid around humans however we suggest that children are under supervision when in the paddock..
You will have use of the whole house as described above which can accommodate 2 couples or combination of 4 people across two bedrooms with queen bed in each.
You will either be met when you arrive or arrangements made so you can access the house if we are not around or you have a late arrival. There is a guest guide detailing information on most of the items you will use as well as some basic information on local attractions and eateries.
Harcourt is easiest accessed by car and Castlemaine has an excellent train service, you can either get a bus three times a day or Taxi out.
This is a rural property on the outskirts of a small town and there are often early morning bird calls.
We do not provide WiFi however there is generally good coverage for the major cellular providers.
